| ギリシャにおける港湾ストライキの影響 |
|
弊社ギリシャのパートナーから、Piraeus港で、6月初めより時間外労働を拒否するという戦術で、港湾ストライキ
が発生しており、Gioia Tauroからもフィーダー輸送ができない状況になっているとの報告を受けております。
現状解決の見通しが立っておらず、Gioia Tauro港CYヤードにおける荷卸しされたコンテナの滞貨、Piraeusへの
回送手続がストップしている状況であり、極端に混乱した状況にあるとのことです。
弊社パートナーは、受荷主各位にその旨状況を報告し、各受荷主とも状況を理解し、貨物の引取りに相当の時間
を要することを認識しているとのことです。
従って、お客様各位に港湾ストのため貨物が引き取れないことについて直接的な苦情はないと考えられますが、
お知らせ致します。なお、WEB SITE等で情報をチェックできないか確認致しましたが、インターネットでの公表情報
はないとのことです。

1. There is no official website where you can find all this information.
I do have the latest letter
issued by the port workers union (dated 17.06.2005) in which they
mention the forthcoming
strikes. This is in Greek and I can send it to you, if you need
it.
2. There is considerable delay in our unstuffing. This morning we
managed to unstuff container No.:
MWCU5658896 which arrived at Piraeus port on vessel Maersk Kopper on 30.05.2005. Fm thereon
Maersk has not brought any other consol containers to Piraeus and
only today they have rerouted
the recent voyage of Maersk Kopper to Thessaloniki port, and they
are thinking of unloading the
piraeus cargo there, for onforwarding to Piraeus on cnees/risk and expenses. We have only 1
consol box on this vessel (MWCU6213837 ex mother vessel: CLEMENTINE
MAERSK V.056) and
after checking with the receivers of the cargo loaded in this container,
half of them where not
interested is such a solution and demanded that we immediately
deliver their cargo to them
without any further delay or additional cost.... We gave this information to MAERSK and requested
that the cover all costs upto piraeus port but of course the rejected our request. MAERSK will
decide tomorrow what they will do with the cargo loaded loaded on board this feeder vessel,
including our abv container.
Apart fm this container MAERSK has also the following containers
in Gioia Tauro without
any onforwarding dtls avaialble:

We had made strong complaints to MAERSK about all these containers
and they had promised to
load same on their current feeder vessel but as you can see this did not happen.
I would like to add that all carriers are facing similar or more severe situations than the abv and
we pray that this mess will come to end soon.
Pls expalin the situation to all yr clients and let me know if there is anything further we can do.

There is indeed an ongoing problem in Piraeus port for almost 3 weeks. The port workers are not
working any overtimes fm the begining of June, which actually means
that vessels are only
operating arround 8-10 hours a day, while the unstuffing of containers
is effected only during the
morning for arround 6-8 hours a day, and of course only if there are workers available!!!
On top of this, there were port strikes on the following days: 09,
10, 16, 17 June and it is very likely
that there will be another strike for 23, 24 June but not confirmed
yet. This whole situation has
created extreme problems to all carriers, most of which either change the route of their vessels
thus creating delays on shpts and prolonged transit time, or they
wait to operate their vessels
for over 4-5 days!!
Needless to say that we are not able to perform any unstuffing of containers and just to give you
an idea of the problem MSC and other carriers have still not unstuffeed
containers that have
arrived since 20-25 may.
We are doing everything in our power to promote our containers for
unstuffing but this is not easy
when there are no port workers available.All clients are well aware
of the situation and everyone
hopes that this will end soon, otherwise we do not dare to think
of the consequences considering
the summer vacation period that will soon start....
